7 Ways to Help Free The Captives, Fight the Trafficker

Race for FreedomThere are over 35 million* slaves in the world today. Join us in fighting this plague by participating in JVI’s Free the Captive, Fight the Trafficker Endurance Events Series (FCFT Series). The FCFT Series is a variety of 5K , 10K, 1/2 Marathons, Triathlons and other endurance events held through December 31, 2015 to raise awareness and funds to fight modern day slavery.
JVI has set a goal of running/walking 3.5 million meters by December 31, 2015. Will you help us reach this goal?

On Sunday, August 23 Justice Ventures Int’l and First Alliance Church will launch the first annual Free The Captives, Fight the Trafficker 5K. Whether you live near Washington DC or not, you can help.

7 Ways to Be Involved

  1. Run/walk in the race. Register to participate in the Free the Captive, Fight the Trafficker 5K on August 23, 2015 at the JVI Headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland.
  2. Participants can run/walk on site or as a “virtual runner” at the location of their choice. Register to race for freedom in a third party 5K or other endurance event of your choice before December 31, 2015.  We will send you a FCFT Team T-Shirt to wear and provide you with other support as part of the FCFT Team.
  3. Recruit a team to run/walk in the race
  4. Sponsor a runner/walker or event.
  5. Help prepare and serve food for the Silver Spring/DC race.
  6. Hand out drinks along the race course.
  7. Help with setup/cleanup.

Will you join us in this fight by registering as a runner/walker or sponsoring a participant? All participants will receive a Free the Captive, Fight the Trafficker t-shirt, and the race will be immediately followed by a breakfast and anti-slavery expo in the Family Life Center and a worship service starting at 11:00 a.m. featuring Abishek Jebaraj, one of JVI’s national leaders from India.
