At lunch yesterday we joked about the silly questions my kids are sometimes asked about being adopted.
“Is he your adopted brother?” Dara: “He’s my brother.”
“Do you speak Kazakh?”
My favorite was, “Are you gonna tell them?” Well, the girls are Central Asian, so…
But in the midst of Christmas tree lights, brightly wrapped presents, and dinners with way too much food, I remember the orphans around the world with too little to eat, not enough clothing, and scarcely any love.
When God brings them to your mind, send up a prayer for them. If you don’t know how to pray for them, here are some ideas. Because while you may not be called to adopt, everyone is called to pray.

Thank you for sharing your insights, Carole. Yes, we need to pray for what God wants us to do to help.
